Of all the great and creative things we do here at Ganache, one of our favourites is hosting our chocolate making classes which anyone can attend. So here is everything you need to know on how to get involved with our classes, including final dates for this year, dates for next year, private classes, and gift vouchers.
The last classes for 2017 were supposed to be held in October, but due to demand we have added some further dates into November. So if you missed out on attending a class this year, now you haven’t!
Master Chocolatier Arno Backes with A LOT of honeycomb
Your next opportunity is this Saturday 21/10, where you can attend our Nougat and Honeycomb class. This is mostly a demonstration class, giving some insights into how honeycomb and nougat are made. Master Chocolatier Arno Backes will take you through this, and demonstrate various tempering techniques. At the end you will have some seriously delicious honeycomb and chocolate sticks. Arno will be working with honeycomb that comes from the beehive on the roof of the South Yarra chocolate lounge. You can see more and book here.
On Saturday 25th November you can come along to a Unique Chocolate Bars class, learn how to make your own chocolate bar and decorate it to your heart’s content. The best part is you get to take home your unique creations! Book here.
- Piped chocolate truffles
On Sunday 26th November is the Truffle Making Experience, one of our most popular classes. It is (we think) almost impossible not to love truffles – they are classic and melt-in-your-mouth. This is a fun-filled, hands-on class, in which you will learn how to make a variety of these signature chocolates. This includes related techniques such as piping, rolling, dipping, and tempering. These chocolate making classes are also a fantastic idea if you are looking for a group activity, whether it is a corporate work team you want to reward or another more personal events such as a hens party. If you’re interested in a private class, we will be taking limited bookings in November and very early December.

All classes start at 1pm, last approx. 2 hrs and are personally hosted by our Master Chocolatier at our South Yarra chocolate lounge.
